Easter, Chocolate and a little bit of splashing

April is here, which means one thing: Easter holidays!
A time for sleep-ins (maybe), family moments, being thankful, and yes... chocolates and hot cross buns.
While we all take life a bit slower, we hope that swimming activities will still be part of
the fun!
Why Swimming Still Matters Over the Holidays
Swimming is a skill that builds best with consistency. As we’ve discussed in previous
blog posts, skills can get rusty and it takes time to get up to speed again.
When kids take a few weeks off, we often see:
A dip in confidence
Skills getting a little rusty (as mentioned)
It doesn’t take much to keep things on track.
And it can be super fun!
Bring on the Easter Fun!
If you’re heading to the pool these holidays, why not play a few games?
Try this:
Easter Egg Hunt: Toss sinky toys and floaty toys into the pool and let them hunt for
treasure.
Bunny Push-Offs: Big, strong push off from the wall into a glide. How far can the
bunny go?
Bunny says - the bunny version of Simon says.
Design your own family games. Maybe they can come and share it in lessons.
Swimming doesn’t always have to look like a lesson.
Sometimes, play is where the magic
happens. Keep it simple, short, and fun.
Final Thoughts and Reminder
Swimming is more than just a weekly lesson.
It’s confidence. It’s safety. It’s freedom. It’s fun. It’s an all year thing.
With the seasons turning, we’re moving into our colder autumn and winter months. The
temptation is there to pause swimming lessons until spring, mainly because of the
misconception that swimming in winter can make you sick, but it’s actually the opposite.
Swimming is a fantastic way to stay active and build resilience in colder weather.
Keeping up with swimming throughout the year can help strengthen the immune
system, making it less likely to pick up those typical winter bugs.
We’ll be here, cheering your swimmers on every step of the way.
