Mandi Mckenzie, the founder and director of Kapiti Learn to Swim has over 33 years experience teaching children and adults how to swim. In the early '90's Kapiti Learn to Swim started with 80 children. Today Kapiti learn to swim is a busy Swim School. Kapiti learn to swim provides good quality Swimming tuition for all young and old. We also provide the perfect enviroment in which to learn. We have a non chlorinated, warm pool and the amenities are very child and family friendly.
Our babies start their 'Learn To Swim' experience with Kapiti Learn To Swim at six months of age. Our oldest Adult was an eigthy seven year old, we got floating and stroking! We have many babies, children and adults enrolled in our programme every week. We pay special attention to our program so that each and every swimmer is catered for.
Mandi came from a very 'water confident family. She was a competitive swimmer who gained a national ranking in the 1970s. She holds the Lotto Swim Safe Certificate, New Zealand Swimming Certificate, AASC NZ Cert, New Zealand Level One Coaching Certificate and the NZ National Life guarding Award.
Mandi's passion for aquatics and Swim teaching is huge and it shows. All staff at Kapiti Learn To Swim share the same passion. They are all dedicated to the Swim program and the Swim School.
Every teacher at Kapiti Learn to Swim holds Current First Aid certificates and their NZAST certificates, New Zealand Swimming Certificates and/or a Bachelor of Education. Everyone here shares a real passion for swimming and children and it shows.
